Asaduddin Owaisi Reaction on Babri Masjid Demolition Anniversary: On the 30th anniversary of Babri Masjid demolition, AIMIM chief and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi has said that he will never forget this day. Will make sure that the coming generations also do not forget this. He has described the date of December 6 as the black day of democracy.

AIMIM chief Owaisi said all these things in a tweet. Owaisi wrote in a tweet, "December 6 will always be a black day for Indian democracy. The desecration and demolition of Babri Masjid is a symbol of injustice. Those who were responsible for its destruction were never convicted. We will not forget this and will ensure that the coming generations also remember it.

Babri Masjid case

According to the inscription, Mir Baqi, the military commander of Babur, the first ruler of the Mughal Empire in the Indian subcontinent, built the Babri Masjid in Ayodhya in 1528-29. According to reports, on 6 December 1992, Hinduist organizations had demolished the Babri Masjid. According to Hindu beliefs, the place where the Babri Masjid was built is the birthplace of Lord Rama.

Supreme Court's decision on Babri

On 9 November 2019, the Supreme Court gave the final verdict regarding the dispute. The Supreme Court had given a decision to give the disputed 2.77 acres of land to the temple trust and instead ordered the government to give an alternative 5 acres of land to the Uttar Pradesh Sunni Central Waqf Board.

While many Muslim organizations welcomed the order of the Supreme Court, many had expressed dissatisfaction. Asaduddin Owaisi has also been continuously saying that Muslims did not get justice in the Babri Masjid case.

'Snatched Babri, will not let another mosque be snatched'

In a video surfaced this year (30 May 2022), Owaisi was seen addressing the youth saying, "We are blamed as to why Majlis and Owaisi have raised the issue of Gyanvapi." I am telling the youth, who are 20-22 years old today, I am telling you youth, remember Babri Masjid, Babri Masjid was taken away from you, efforts are being made in the same way that Gyanvapi is also It should be taken away, the Idgah of Mathura should also be taken away, the mound mosque of Lucknow should be taken away, the Hajili Dargah of Mumbai, the Astana of Khwaja Ajmeri, all this is happening. Fingers are being pointed at me today." With this, Owaisi targeted the BJP-led Narendra Modi government at the Centre, the RSS and the Congress.
