Asia Cup 2023 India vs Pakistan: Indian Cricket Board (BCCI) Secretary Jai Shah is in Bahrain to attend the emergency meeting of the Asian Cricket Council (ACC). The meeting, called at the request of PCB chairman Najam Sethi, will decide the fate of Pakistan's Asia Cup hosting rights. If BCCI sources are to be believed, there is no or absolutely no chance of Pakistan hosting the Asia Cup in September.

Asia Cup 2023 can be held in these places

The Asia Cup 2023 tournament is expected to be held either in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) with the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) retaining the hosting rights, or Sri Lanka could be another option.

A BCCI source said, “Jay Shah is currently in Bahrain for the ACC meeting. BCCI will not change its stand. We will not go to Pakistan because we have not got the approval from the government. It is understandable that the recent Peshawar bomb blast has raised security concerns about the resumption of the cricket tournament in Pakistan.

Jai Shah had said this

The hosting of Asia Cup 2023 was given to Pakistan, but BCCI Secretary Jai Shah made it clear that India will not go to Pakistan to participate in the Asia Cup. Then the then PCB chairman Rameeza Raja had said that he would not go to Pakistan to participate in the ODI World Cup. After this, a war broke out between the fans of both the countries on social media as well.

ACC program has been released

In December last year, ACC chairman Shah released the schedule of the continental tournament and the venue of the Asia Cup was not mentioned. After this, Sethi accused Shah of taking a unilateral decision.
