Asia Cup 2023: The Asian Cricket Council (ACC) said on Thursday that the Asia Cup to be played in the 50-over format will be held in September this year, although its schedule and host country have not been announced yet. Asian Cricket Council President Jai Shah released the cricket calendar of the tournaments to be held between 2023 and 2024.

IND-PAK in same group

Asia Cup 2023 will be held in September. Keeping in mind the ODI World Cup, this time Asia Cup will be played in ODI format. Its full schedule has not been announced yet. But Jai Shah, the chief of the Asian Cricket Council, tweeted that India and Pakistan are in the same group.

There will be six teams in Asia Cup 2023 in which India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Afghanistan and a qualifier team will get a chance.

Releasing the calendar for the next two years, BCCI secretary and ACC president Jay Shah said, "This event reflects our unparalleled efforts and passion to take the game to new heights. This is a good time for cricket.

These tournaments will also be held

A total of 145 ODIs and T20 matches will be played during the two-year cycle (between 2023-2024) announced by the ACC. There will be 75 matches in 2023 and 70 in 2024. Apart from this, the Emerging (Under-23) Asia Cup has also returned to the calendar. The men's eight-team tournament will be played in the 50-over format in July this year. Next year in December, this tournament will be in T20 format.
