The hearing on the Hijab controversy began once again in the Karnataka High Court on Thursday. Earlier, advocate Rahmatullah Kothwal, appearing for the petitioners, referred to the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) and said that as per the UDHR, everyone has freedom of religion and freedom of conscience.

At the same time, the Karnataka High Court dismissed the petition of a social worker regarding the Hijab controversy. We are not satisfied that this PIL has been filed in accordance with the rules. At the same time, on Thursday, the petition filed for permission to wear hijab in educational institutions has been again adjourned. Now the next hearing of the case will take place on Friday.
