Axar Patel IPL 2022 / Axar's all-round performance in Punjab is upset, century studded wickets

IPL 2022: In the Indian Premier League, a low-scoring but fierce match took place between Delhi Capitals and Punjab Kings on Monday. Delhi Capitals' Axar Patel dominated the match, batting first and then bowling. Delhi Capitals needed a win here to go into the playoffs and Axar's all-round performance did his best to do so. Akshar Patel scored 17 runs while batting, while taking two wickets in bowling.

Axar Patel gave away just 14 runs in his 4 overs and took two important wickets. He did not even allow Punjab Kings captain Mayank Agarwal to open the account and clean bowled it on the score of zero. Along with this, Rishi Dhawan was also clean bowled on the score of just 4.

For Axar Patel, this match was special for another reason. He has completed his 100 wickets in IPL career. Axar Patel has played 121 matches so far in IPL, in which he has 101 wickets to his name. Akshar Patel has also scored 1116 runs.

Delhi Capitals registered a landslide victory in this match. Delhi needed a win to reach the playoffs, after a 17-run win, Delhi's hopes of reaching the playoffs are alive. Batting first, Delhi Capitals scored 159 runs, in reply Punjab Kings could only manage 142 runs. If Delhi Capitals win their last match, then the playoff seat will be confirmed.
