Kedarnath's floating festival Vigraha Doli has reached its last stop Gaurikund on Wednesday. Today, on Thursday, Panchmukhi Doli of Baba Kedar will reach its dham and the doors of Kedarnath temple will be opened on 6th May at 6.25 am on auspicious time.


Special worship of Panchmukhi Bhogmurti of Baba Kedar was performed at Phata from 6 am on Wednesday. T-Gangadhara Linga, the chief priest appointed for the Dham, adorned the idol and performed the aarti. On this occasion, people welcomed Baba with flowers and Akshat and prayed for happiness and prosperity. At 7.45 am Baba's Panchmukhi Doli left for his Dham.


Via Sitapur, Sonprayag, the doli of Baba Kedar reached the last night halt at 11 am, Gaurikund, where the villagers, pilgrimages welcomed the doli with flowers and garlands. BKTC's media in-charge Dr. Harish Chandra Gaur told that on Thursday, Baba Kedar's doli will leave for Dham at 8 am. After traveling 17 km on foot, Doli will reach Kedarnath in the afternoon.


On May 6, all the preparations for the inauguration of the temple have been completed. Doli in-charge Pradeep Semwal said that due to the corona period, the doli was brought to the dham in a subtle way in the last two years, but this time the enthusiasm of the devotees from Omkareshwar temple to Gaurikund has been at its peak.


Aaradhya took rest in Bhootnath temple

The Vigraha Doli, the moving festival of the third Kedar Lord Tungnath, after his departure from his temple, rested at the Bhootnath temple. On this occasion, the priests performed aarti by offering bhog while worshiping the idol.


The abbot of Tungnath temple, Ram Prasad Maithani, told that on May 5, the Vigraha Doli, the moving festival, will leave from the Bhootnath temple and reach Chopta for the night stay through various villages. While on May 6, Doli will reach her temple Chopta from Chopta. Where the doors will be opened at 11 am with law and order.
