Ruckus over murder of youth in UP / Babar distributed sweets on the victory of BJP, was beaten to death by neighbors

A youth injured in a beating for voting in favor of BJP and celebrating victory died during treatment in Lucknow. His body was brought home on Saturday evening. On Sunday morning, the relatives created a ruckus by placing the dead body at the door of the house demanding action against the accused. After getting this information, regional MLA PN Pathak and SDM reached his house.

Both of them persuaded the relatives by assuring strict action against the accused. After this, the family members handed over the dead body. It is noteworthy that 30-year-old Babar, a resident of Kathgharhi village of Ramkola police station area, was severely injured by his neighbors after voting in favor of BJP and distributing sweets and bursting firecrackers in the village on the victory of regional MLA PN Pathak.

He was being treated at a private hospital in Lucknow. He died on Friday. The body was brought to the village on Saturday night. At eight o'clock on Sunday morning, the family members started demanding to call the SDM by keeping the dead body at the door of the house.

SDM Kasaya Varun Kumar Pandey, who reached the spot after about six hours, assured the victim's family of the arrest of the accused. Regional MLA PN Pathak, taking the responsibility of education of the children of the victim's family, assured to get justice. SO DK Singh said that a case has been registered in the matter. Two accused have also been arrested. Efforts are on to arrest others.
