New Delhi: Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has sent 2600 kg of mangoes as a gift to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. Bangladesh media gave this information. Significantly, India and Bangladesh have been friendly neighbours. India has always stood to help Bangladesh.

In March, PM Modi went to Bangladesh on a foreign trip. This was his first foreign trip during the Corona period. During this visit, PM Modi presented 109 ambulances and 12 lakh corona vaccine doses to the Bangladeshi PM.

At the same time, the Bangladeshi Prime Minister had given many gifts to PM Modi including a watch. Bangladesh PM Sheikh Hasina presented PM Modi with gold and silver coins which were issued on the birth centenary of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. Along with this, he also gave a silver coin issued on the 50th anniversary of Bangladesh's independence as a gift to PM Modi.

Giving gifts to Mamta Banerjee

At the same time, in the year 2013, when Sheikh Hasina came on a tour of India, she had brought many gifts for Mamta Banerjee, one of which was Hilsa fish. Not only this, when Pranab Mukherjee went to Bangladesh in the year 2013, five types of dishes were prepared for him, in which Hilsa fish was included. In 2016, when Mamta Banerjee was sworn in as Chief Minister, Sheikh Hasina had sent Hilsa fish to her as a gift.
