Delhi Capitals team has been able to win only 1 out of 4 matches so far this season and has faced defeat in 3 matches. In the match played against Kolkata Knight Riders, the team performed quite shamefully. In this match, Delhi lost by 106 runs. At the same time, now BCCI has also taken big action against Pant.

BCCI action on Rishabh Pant

BCCI has taken action against Rishabh Pant due to slow over rate. This is the second time this season when Rishabh Pant has been fined due to slow over rate. This time BCCI has imposed a fine of Rs 24 lakh on him. At the same time, in the last match, a fine of Rs 12 lakh was imposed on Rishabh Pant. Under the captaincy of Pant, Delhi could not complete 20 overs within the regular time in both these matches. At the same time, this time along with Pant, other players of the team have also been fined Rs 6 lakh or 25% of the match fee.

Pant is in danger of being banned!

According to the rules of slow over rate, if this mistake is committed for the first time, the captain is fined only Rs 12 lakh. If this mistake is made for the second time in the season, then the captain is fined Rs 24 lakh. Other players in the team are also fined Rs 6 lakh or 25% of the match fee. At the same time, on committing this mistake for the third time, the captain is banned for one match along with Rs 30 lakh, along with this, the rest of the players of the team are fined Rs 12 lakh each or 50% of their match fee. In such a situation, Pant has made this mistake twice this season, if he gets caught in slow over rate once more then he can be banned for 1 match.

Delhi Capitals will have to take care

Under the slow over rate rule, the team has to complete 20 overs in 90 minutes. Let us tell you, Delhi Capitals team took 2 hours to bowl 20 overs against Kolkata Knight Riders. At the same time, against CSK the team was running 3 overs behind the scheduled time. For this reason, in the last two overs, the team had to keep 5 fielders inside the 30-yard circle instead of 4.

Heavy defeat against KKR

The Delhi team suffered a very bad defeat in the match played against Kolkata Knight Riders. In this match, Delhi, bowling first, gave away 272 runs in 20 overs. This is the second highest score against any team in IPL. At the same time, in response to this target, Delhi batsmen also flopped. Delhi team was all out for 166 runs only.
