IPL 2021 | Now where it is now clear that the rest of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2021), which was postponed recently, will be held in the UAE, the BCCI is serious about the news of some foreign players not playing in the remaining matches. Yes it's gone. First Pat Cummins made it clear that he would not be able to serve KKR in the rest of the matches, after which the Bangladesh Cricket Board said that it would not provide NOC to its players. After this, the Indian board started working on many options. There was also talk of re-auctioning an option for foreign players. At the same time, Ashley Giles, director of the England and Wales Cricket Board, has already said that England players will not be able to play in the remaining 31 matches. This is because in the next few months, England have to play many important Test series. There is also talk of the withdrawal of many Australian and New Zealand crickets.

However, the decision of these players to withdraw from the tournament is going to cost them dearly. If sources are to be believed, then foreign players will now be given the same amount of money as they played. This means that expensive players like Pat Cummins are going to be hit hard. The board official said in a conversation with a website that yes this is absolutely correct. If foreign players do not reach the UAE, then the franchise owners will have the right to deduct their salary. And they will be paid proportionately only.

For example, Cummins is the most expensive foreign player in the history of IPL. He was bought by KKR for 15.5 crores. If Cummins does not play in the UAE, then he will be paid only around Rs 7.75 crore. According to sources, if a player gets injured during the match or net practice, then he is entitled to get his full salary. The player will get full salary even if BCCI does not organize the entire tournament. But if the player declares himself unavailable, he will be paid on a proportionate basis for the matches.
