Apart from this, the board has also announced the names of three standby players.

According to the information given by the BCCI, Ishan Kishan has got an entry in the team in place of KL Rahul. Whereas Mukesh Kumar, Ruturaj Gaikwad and Suryakumar Yadav have been selected as standbys. Significantly, during a match in IPL 2023, Lucknow Super Giants captain KL Rahul was injured and ruled out of the entire tournament. There was news of an injury to his thigh. After this, he also withdrew his name from the final of the World Test Championship. Giving its official information, BCCI has now told his replacement. At the same time, Jaydev Unadkat also got hurt but he is present in the squad.

Regarding Rahul's injury, experts have advised him to undergo surgery as soon as possible. At the same time, he will rehab at the National Cricket Academy (NCA). The BCCI in its release also informed about Jaydev Unadkat, who had injured his left shoulder after slipping on the side rope while bowling in the nets. He is currently at the NCA in Bengaluru and is undergoing strengthening and rehabilitation for his shoulder. However, a final call on his fitness will be taken later. Earlier there were reports of Umesh Yadav getting fit and bowling again. At present, he is being closely monitored.
