Bomb Blast / Big explosion in Balochistan, Pakistan, Eid Milad procession attacked, 6 killed

Bomb Blast: An explosion has been carried out targeting the Eid Milad-ul-Nabi procession near Al-Falah Mosque in Mastung district of Balochistan. Six people died tragically in this attack. There are reports of at least 30 people being injured. Emergency has been declared in hospitals. The hospital staff has been instructed to reach immediately. A Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) has died in the explosion.

Earlier this month, at least 11 people, including Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazal (JUI-F) leader Hafiz Hamdullah, were injured in a blast in the same district. Weeks earlier, a levy official had been shot by unidentified people at a bus stand, while two others passing by were injured.

Terrorist attacks are happening every day in Pakistan

In October last year, three people were killed and six others were injured in a bomb attack targeting two vehicles in the Kaaboo hill area of Mastung. Terrorist attacks happen every day in Pakistan. Attacks are also carried out due to infighting between terrorist groups. In January this year, there was a blast in a mosque in Quetta in which ten people were killed. At least 20 people were injured in this attack. Four people were killed in an attack in April in the south of Balochistan. More than 15 people were injured in the attack in the busy market.

Balochistan Liberation Army also attacks

Pakistan has long been battling an insurgency by militants in Balochistan, who are demanding a larger share in the province's wealth. Also, Tehreek-e-Taliban is facing attacks from Pakistan, which is also commonly called Pakistani Taliban. A flood of Chinese investment under Beijing's Belt and Road Initiative has heightened tensions in the province, with locals saying it has not benefited them. He has been continuously opposing China and many times also raises the demand for independence from Pakistan.
