Karnataka Politics: Former Karnataka CM and senior BJP leader BS Yeddyurappa, who is facing charges under the POCSO Act, has got a big relief. Let us tell you that Yeddyurappa had rejected the allegations against him and applied to the special court for anticipatory bail.

Yeddyurappa will appear before CID for investigation

According to the assurance given to the court by former Karnataka CM BS Yeddyurappa, Yeddyurappa will be available for investigation before the CID on June 17. Let us tell you that in this case, the High Court has stayed the arrest of Yeddyurappa till the next hearing. The next hearing of this case will be held in the court after 2 weeks.

Yeddyurappa's son gave a statement

BY Raghavendra, the newly elected MP from Shimoga and BS Yeddyurappa's son, has defended his father in this case. He said that this is a complaint filed about two and a half months ago and there is no truth in it. Raghavendra claimed that the girl who complained had made similar complaints against 50 officers. The Home Minister of Karnataka had said that the girl who made the allegation was not mentally sound.

What did the lawyer say?

Sandeep C Patil, the lawyer appearing for BS Yeddyurappa, said that we had brought a petition to challenge the malicious action on the part of the investigating agencies. He told that the court was of the opinion that since Yeddyurappa, being a former Chief Minister, keeping in mind his age and his conduct of participating in the investigation, this is not a case where the investigator should go to the court and get a warrant. The lawyer told that there is every possibility that Yeddyurappa will appear for investigation on the 17th.
