Delhi News: A major incident of theft has been carried out in the capital Delhi. A theft worth Rs 25 crore took place late night at Umrao Jeweler located in Bhogal area of Delhi. It is being told that the thieves made a hole in the wall and reached the strong room in the showroom. Police suspect that this theft took place on Sunday. At present, Nizamuddin police station has reached the spot and started investigation. The CCTV cameras installed in the showroom are being scrutinized.According to the showroom owner, theft worth around Rs 20 to 25 crores has been committed. There was nothing suspicious till he closed the shop on Sunday. The showroom is kept closed on Monday. When the showroom opened on Tuesday morning, everyone was stunned. A big hole was seen in the wall of the showroom near the strong room.The thieves reached inside after making holes in the roof and wall. He has carried out this theft calmly. Because thieves have taken away most of the valuable items of gold and silver. The showroom owner has said that he has not yet been able to calculate how much goods have been lost but it is estimated that the thieves have stolen jewelery worth Rs 20 to 25 crores.The police is currently busy scanning the CCTV footage installed in the showroom. Besides, the nearby people and showroom staff are also being interrogated. Police have said that they will soon find clues about the accused.
