New Delhi: Around 75,000 people died of unexplained causes in Bihar in the first five months of 2021, which coincides with the second tally of Corona. This has been revealed by new figures. This is almost 10 times the state's official pandemic deaths, raising the question whether the state is underreporting Covid deaths? Let us inform that in January-May 2019, there were about 1.3 lakh deaths in Bihar. According to data from the state's civil registration system, the figure was around 2.2 lakh for the same period in 2021, showing a difference of around 82,500. More than half of this, an increase of 62 per cent, was recorded in May this year.
