Rajasthan News: A case of unaccounted black money being found in Rajasthan's capital Jaipur on the day of Dhanteras has come to light. Today the Income Tax Department took a major action in Ganpati Plaza of Jaipur. The department opened two lockers, from which a total of Rs 1 crore 37 lakh 50 thousand in cash and 400 grams of gold were recovered. Apart from this, some foreign notes have also been found. A machine was called to count the cash.

In fact, Rajya Sabha MP Dr. Kirori Lal Meena, after holding a press conference in Jaipur on October 13 last month, had reached a locker room at Ganpati Plaza. He had alleged that there are 100 lockers here, which have not been opened for the last 10 years. The officers have money in these lockers. Kirori Lal Meena had claimed that neither RBI nor any other agency had information about this locker.

What did Kirori Lal Meena claim?

Dr. Kirori Lal Meena had said that apart from black money worth Rs 500 crore, there is also 50 kg gold in these lockers. Which belongs to people associated with DOIT, JJM and paper leak. After Kirori Lal Meena claimed to have black money worth Rs 500 crore in the lockers built in Ganpati Plaza, Income Tax Department officials have arrived to inspect the lockers. Along with this, senior ED officials have also reached Ganpati Plaza. After the MP's claim, lockers were being continuously checked in Ganpati Plaza.

Total 1,100 lockers in Ganpati Plaza

According to the information, there are a total of 1,100 lockers in Ganpati Plaza. So far 763 lockers have been checked. 337 lockers are yet to be inspected. Income Tax officials said that notice was given to the locker owner 12 days ago for investigation, but no response was received from him, after which the lockers were cut with cutters today. So far, Rs 1 crore 37 lakh 50 thousand cash, 400 grams of gold and some foreign currency have been recovered from the lockers.
