China : Tension continues between India and China and this tension is not taking its name. Now China has once again acted inciting India. China has changed the names of many places in Arunachal Pradesh. China has named these places in Chinese words and has declared it as its right.

China changed the names of 15 places

The Global Times report states that China's civil ministry has standardized places in Jangnan (China has been calling Arunachal Pradesh as South Tibet or Jangnan) in Chinese characters, Tibetan and Roman alphabet according to the rules. The 15 places whose names have been changed are part of Arunachal Pradesh in India. Of the 15 changed names, eight are residential places, four mountains, two rivers and one mountain pass. Let us tell you that for the second time, China has done the work of giving Chinese names to the places of Arunachal Pradesh. Earlier in 2017, China had named six places on its own.

China has changed the names of Songkozong and Daglungzong in Kona County of Shannan Prefecture, Manigang, Duding and Migpen in Medog County of Nyingchi, Goling in Jiu County of Nyingchi, Damba and Mozag in Lungje County of Shannan Prefecture.

China does not consider Arunachal Pradesh as part of India

Lian Jiangmin, an expert at the China Tibetology Research Center in Beijing, told the Global Times that the announcement is part of a national survey of place names that have existed for hundreds of years. Giving them a standardized name is a legitimate move and China's sovereignty. Lian said more standardized place names would be announced in the region in the future.

The Global Times has said that a spokesman for China's Foreign Ministry said at a press conference in February 2020 that the Chinese government never recognized the so-called Arunachal Pradesh, as it is called by India.
