The Golden Linings section will include Dharmendra's 'Satyakam' and Rajesh Khanna's 'Aradhana'. Both films were released in 1969. 'Aradhana' was Rajesh Khanna's first hit film, considered the first superstar of Hindi cinema. It was directed by Shakti Samanta. Sharmila Tagore was in the female lead role in the film.

Talking of 'Satyakam', this is Dharmendra's cult classic film. It is said to be the best film of Dharmendra's career. It was directed by Hrishikesh Mukherjee. Dharmendra expressed happiness over its selection in IFFI. He said in a conversation, "I miss Rishi Da. My dear elder brother, my class director. He used to say that 'Satyakam' is his best film."
