Delhi Liquor Scam: The Supreme Court will hear on April 15 the plea challenging Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's arrest by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) and his subsequent remand in the liquor policy scam case. The bench of Supreme Court Justices Sanjeev Khanna and Dipankar Dutta will hear this case. Let us tell you that Delhi High Court had rejected Kejriwal's petition challenging his arrest and upheld his arrest. After the petition was rejected by the High Court, Kejriwal had approached the Supreme Court, which will now be heard.

CM Kejriwal has called ED's arrest in the liquor scam case illegal. The petition filed against this in the Delhi High Court was heard on April 10 and the High Court did not give him relief. The High Court, in its April 10 order, had said that the arrest of Arvind Kejriwal was not illegal as the investigating agency had no other option left to include him in the investigation. She was repeatedly sent summons and asked to appear but she did not appear. For this reason he was arrested, which is not illegal.
