Coronavirus in Maharashtra: Corona is in explosive condition in some countries of the world including China. The number of patients infected with corona is increasing rapidly. In India too, after the cases of Omicron's sub-variant BF.7 (Omicron BF.7) surfaced, the central and state governments are looking completely cautious. In view of the increasing danger of corona infection, all the states are busy in preparations.

Meanwhile, the government of Maharashtra is also on alert. However, the health minister of the state said that there is nothing to fear. In view of the danger of corona infection, on 22 December, Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde called an emergency meeting regarding preparations related to Kovid-19.

Is Maharashtra out of danger of Covid?

State Health Minister Tanaji Sawant has said that Corona is out of Maharashtra as there are only 132 patients in the whole of Maharashtra. He assured the people that there is nothing to be afraid of. Earlier on December 22, Health Minister Tanaji Sawant had told reporters in Nagpur that he had asked the officials to be vigilant and vaccinate after detecting the infection.

Member of Kovid Task Force BMC Dr. Gautam Bhansali had told that every day we are sending samples of Kovid patients to the lab for Genome Sequencing. He also claimed that till now not a single case of Omicron's sub-variant BF.7 has been reported in Mumbai. Random tests have been asked by BMC at Mumbai airport and railway stations.

Former health minister of the state had given advice

In view of the outbreak of Kovid-19 in China, Brazil and many other countries, former Maharashtra Health Minister Rajesh Tope had said that everyone needs to be alert and follow the rules related to Kovid. He also said that we need to strictly follow the advice of the Center and WHO and focus on tracking, testing and treatment.
