Now their number has also increased and now the positivity rate has increased from 5 to 10 percent in 63 districts of 19 states and union territories.

Corona's new variant XBB1.16 increased tension

The new variant of Coronavirus XBB1.16 (XBB1.16) is spreading in the country and so far 610 cases have been found. This new variant of Corona is believed to be responsible for the recent increase in cases of infection. According to data from the Indian SARS-CoV-2 Genomics Consortium (INSACOG), all these cases have been found in 11 states and union territories.

According to statistics, 610 cases of the new variant XBB1.16 (XBB1.16) have come to the fore in samples from 11 states and union territories. Maximum cases of this type have been found in Maharashtra 164 and 164 in Gujarat, 93 in Telangana, 86 in Karnataka. According to INSACOG data, the new variant 'XBB 1.16' was confirmed in two samples in January.

Be careful if you see these symptoms

According to doctors, patients infected with the new variant of corona virus XBB1.16 (XBB1.16) are showing common symptoms, which include cough, cold and fever. In some cases, complaints like breathlessness are also coming to the fore. However, the chances of hospitalization of infected patients are decreasing.

Center gave these instructions to the states

In view of the increase in new cases of Kovid-19 (Covid-19) in the country, the Central Government has instructed the State Governments to increase RT-PCR test and genome sequencing, so that if a new person is infected with the new variant, then his protection can be done. Measures can be taken regarding. Along with this, mock drills will also be organized across the country on April 10 and 11 to take stock of emergency preparedness in government and private hospitals across the country.
