He was sitting in his office when bike-borne assailants shot him. Police reached the spot and started investigation. If reports are to be believed, Subhash Munda was shot seven times by the criminals. After shooting, the fearless criminals fled from the spot. After the incident, an atmosphere of terror prevailed in that area. There is information that some of his supporters have also vandalized in anger.

After this incident came to the fore, State BJP President Babulal Marandi has targeted the state government and the police regarding the law and order situation in Jharkhand. Law and order will not improve until the bribing police officers are removed and flamboyant officers are appointed.
