IND vs SA / Cricket South Africa announces revised itinerary of India tour of South Africa comprising three Tests and three ODIs

IND vs SA | Cricket South Africa (CSA) has announced a new schedule for the upcoming series against India at home, consisting of three Tests and three ODIs. As per the new schedule, India will begin their campaign on the South Africa tour with a Boxing Day Test from December 26. The match will be played at Centurion's SuperSport Park. The second Test of the three-match Test series between the two teams will be played from 3 to 7 January 2022 in Johannesburg and the third and final Test will be played at Newlands Stadium in Cape Town from 11 to 15 January 2022.

After this, the three-match ODI series between the two teams will start. The first match of the ODI series will be played on 19 January at Pearl, the second also on 21 January in Pearl and the third and final ODI will be played on 23 January at Newlands Stadium in Cape Town. The Test series is part of the ICC World Test Championship.

This tour of India was earlier to start from December 17. India also had to play a four-match T20 series on the South Africa tour. But amidst the spread of the new variant Omicron of the corona virus, the schedule of the Indian cricket team has been changed. The Indian team was also to play four T20 Internationals on the tour of South Africa, which has been postponed and new dates will be decided later.
