Delhi Auto Fare: Delhi's Arvind Kejriwal government has given a blow to the auto passengers. The government has decided to increase the auto fare in the national capital. According to the Delhi government, now the auto meter will be down by Rs 30, earlier it was Rs 25. After this, the rider will have to pay Rs 11 for every kilometer. The Delhi government's notification said that for non-AC taxis, passengers will now have to pay Rs 17 per km after the minimum fare of Rs 40. Earlier it was Rs 14. At the same time, the fare of AC taxi has been increased from Rs 16 to Rs 20.

No change in night charge

There has been no change in the 25 per cent night charge. The waiting charge, which is Rs 30 at present, will be Rs 1 per minute after 15 minutes of stay and the excess baggage fee has been increased from Rs 10 to Rs 15. The last revision in auto rickshaw fares took place in the year 2020, while for taxis, which include black-yellow taxis, economy taxis and premium taxis, it happened nine years ago in 2013.

The Kejriwal government had approved the proposal of increased rent in October last year itself. These increased fares were fixed only then Te. During that time the government had said that the last revision in auto fares took place in 2020, while the taxi fares were increased nine years ago in 2013. In 2020, the fare of CNG was Rs 47, which has now more than doubled.
