Business | After Petrel, now Diesel has also scored a century. The price of diesel in Maharashtra has crossed Rs 100. An official of the Local Fuel Pump Association said that on Tuesday, the price of diesel crossed Rs 100 in Parbhani, Maharashtra.

In Parbhani, diesel was sold at Rs 100.70 per liter in diesel, while petrol was being sold at Rs 118.07. He said that the prices of diesel and petrol have been increased by 70 paise and 80 paise respectively.

Why is diesel selling expensive in Parbhani?

President of Parbhani Petrol Dealers Association, Amol Bhedsurkar told PTI, "The cost of fuel in Parbhani is high as it is brought here from Manmad depot, which is more than 340 km away. We have decided to set up a depot in Aurangabad. Due to which the fuel prices will come down by Rs 2 per litre. He said that if fuel is brought under GST then people will get maximum relief.
