Many women start to lose interest in sex as they age. A recent study has been done on the changes in sexual desire of women. This study has been done by researchers in Scottsdale. Dr. Juliana Kling, author of the study and Associate Professor of Medicine at Mayo Clinic, has given many important information in the research.
Doctor Kling has linked women's sexual desire to sound sleep. According to a new study, getting good sleep at an old age is the most effective treatment to increase sexual desire. Researchers found that women who did not sleep well were nearly twice as likely to have sexual problems. Such as decreased sexual desire or excitement.
The study was conducted on more than 3,400 women aged 53 years. Of these, 75 percent of the women had no good sleeping habits while 54 percent women had some kind of sexual problem.
In the study, women were asked many things about their sex life. The study found that women who did not sleep soundly lacked sexual desire. Researchers also learned about other reasons, such as the condition of menopause, to affect sleep and sex.
Women in the study who slept less than five hours a night were more likely to have sexual problems. Doctor Kling said, 'Sexual dysfunction is a type of sexual problem that is related to poor sleep. Because of this there are problems like sexual desire, lack of excitement and pain in private parts. '
Doctor Kling said, "Not having good sleep has a negative effect on the body and later it turns into fatigue and sexual problems. Getting good sleep also enhances your sex life.
Contact your doctor if you feel any difficulty related to sleep. Good sleep is very important for complete health. Regularly making a bedtime routine also helps in improving sex life.
Doctor Kling says that for good sleep it is necessary that you consume caffeine at least. Stop drinking coffee after noon. Do not use the phone and computer at all after going to bed and make a habit of sleeping at a fixed time.
