Jammu-Kashmir News: Three army soldiers were killed in an encounter between terrorists and security forces in Kulgam, Jammu and Kashmir. Army officials informed about this. He told that earlier these three soldiers were injured in an encounter with the terrorists. After this he was taken to the hospital. But all three died during treatment. The official said that additional force has been sent to the area and the search operation has been intensified.

Police said that after receiving information about the presence of terrorists in the Halan Forest area of Kulgam district in South Kashmir, the security forces laid siege and conducted a search operation. During this, the terrorists started firing on the security forces. After this the search operation turned into an encounter. During this, the security forces retaliated.

Encounter in Halan forest area of Kulgam district

Security forces launched a cordon and search operation in the high altitude areas of Halan forest area of Kulgam district in south Kashmir after receiving information about the presence of terrorists, a police official said.

Soldiers injured in encounter died during treatment

He said the search operation turned into an encounter after the terrorists opened fire on the security forces. During this the security forces retaliated. Three security personnel were injured in the exchange of fire with the terrorists and died during treatment.

At the same time, the Chinar Corps of the Srinagar-based army said in a tweet that three army soldiers were martyred during Operation Halan in Kulgam. Chinar Corps tweeted – “Operation Halan, Kulgam. On August 4, 2023, the operation was launched by the security forces on specific information about the presence of terrorists on the high peaks of Halan in Kulgam. In the exchange of fire with the terrorists, three jawans were injured and later martyred. The search operation is on.” Additional force has been sent to the area and the search operation has been intensified.
