ENG vs USA: England defeated America by 10 wickets in their last Super-8 match in the T20 World Cup. The team chased the target of 116 runs in just 9.4 overs. With this win, England has become the first team to reach the semi-finals of the T20 World Cup. In such a situation, the last match of Group-2 has become a knockout. The team that wins it will reach the top-4.

England captain Jos Buttler won the toss and decided to field in Bridgetown. The English bowlers proved Captain Butler's decision right and bowled out America for 115 runs in 18.5 overs. Then the opening pair of captain Jos Buttler and Phil Salt chased the target of 116 runs in just 9.4 overs.

Chris Jordan took a hat-trick for England. He took the wickets of Corey Anderson, Ali Khan, Noshtus Kenjige and Saurabh Netravalkar in the 19th over. He has become the second bowler to take a hat-trick in this World Cup. Before him, Pat Cummins has done this feat twice. Adil Rashid and Sam Curran took 2-2 wickets, while Reece Topley and Liam Livingstone got one wicket each.

In the run chase, captain Jos Buttler scored an unbeaten 83 off 38 balls with the help of 6 fours and 7 sixes, while Phil Salt scored an unbeaten 25 off 21 balls with the help of two fours. There was an unbeaten opening partnership of 117 runs off 59 balls between the two.

Nitish Kumar scored the highest 30 runs for America. Corey Anderson played an innings of 29 runs.

England's big win over America

Batting first, America scored 115 runs in 18.5 overs, in reply, England won the match by scoring 117 runs without any loss in just 9.4 overs and has greatly strengthened its hopes of reaching the semi-finals. For England, Butler scored an unbeaten 83 runs with the help of six fours and seven sixes in 38 balls and Phil Salt scored 25 runs with the help of two fours in 21 balls.

With this spectacular victory, England's team has reached the top of Group Two of the Super Eight stage with four points with two wins and one loss in three matches. England's net run rate became +1.992 which is better than South Africa and West Indies.

America gave England a target of 116 runs

On the strength of Chris Jordan's hat-trick, England bundled out America's innings for 115 runs in 18.5 overs. Jordan, who came to bowl the 19th over, took four wickets in five balls and bundled out America cheaply. England won the toss and invited America to bat first, but America's batting was very poor. Nitish Kumar scored the highest 30 runs for America and Corey Anderson scored 29 runs. Anderson shared a good partnership with Harmeet Singh for the sixth wicket, but as soon as Harmeet was out, America's innings collapsed like a pack of cards. Harmeet contributed 21 runs.

Jordan dismissed Corey Anderson, Ali Khan, Nosathush Kenjige and Saurabh Netravalkar in the 19th over. Ali, Kenjige and Netravalkar returned to the pavilion without opening their account. Only five batsmen of America could touch the double digit mark. Jordan took four wickets for England, while Sam Curran and Adil Rashid got two wickets each.
