In the new rankings that have come after the two semi-finals and final of the World Cup, the gap between former Pakistan captain Babar Azam and Team India's opening batsman Shubhman Gill has reduced significantly. An exciting battle continues between these two. Whereas Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma have come a long way by performing amazingly.

Shubman Gill occupies number one position and Babar Azam occupies second position in ICC ODI rankings.

In the new ODI rankings released by ICC, Indian team's opening batsman Shubman Gill is occupying the number one position with a rating of 826.
