Srinagar / Explosion at Kashmir University entrance, two injured; Army killed 1 terrorist in an encounter

Srinagar: The grenade blast occurred at the entrance of Kashmir University on Tuesday. Two people were injured in this. Army and police officials have started investigation in this matter. At the same time, there was an encounter between the army and the terrorists. A terrorist was killed in it. In fact, the search operation was carried out by security forces after killing a terrorist on Monday evening. 

The slain militants have been identified as Irfan Naira and Irfan Rather. Naira was active in Kashmir since 2016 and Rathar 2017. Both militants were involved in attacking security forces patrols. Ever since Article 370 was neutralized, the army has been carrying out intensive operations against militants in Kashmir.

Police said - people should not go to the encounter area

Police said - There is a possibility of explosives scattered throughout the area. Do not go to an area with a civilian encounter. This can prove to be dangerous. Cooperate with the police. The government has already appointed special joint forces of the Army, Navy and Air Force to deal with the terrorists in the valley. These include Army Para, Marcos of Navy and Garuda Special Force of Air Force.
