The Vidhyadhar Nagar police station of Jaipur city said that the fire broke out in the basement of the Cinestar building located in the area. The multi-storey building has residential flats on the top and shops and showrooms below. There is also a multiplex cinema hall in the rear. Every day thousands of people have foot fall here. This morning, as soon as the shops and showrooms built in the building started opening at around ten o'clock, the shopkeepers of the showrooms built in the basement came running outside. Suddenly there was a fire. The fire broke out in a large shoe warehouse near the showrooms. The fire spread so fast that some nearby shops were also engulfed. Later the police, fire brigade and civil defense teams were called to the spot and the fire could be brought under control. Due to the letter, fiber and rubber material, black smoke kept rising there for hours.
