Bollywood / Filmmaker SS Rajamouli and his family members test positive for Coronavirus

News Helpline . Mumbai | ‘Baahubali’ director SS Rajamouli and his family tested positive for the coronavirus on Wednesday. The filmmaker shared his COVID-19 diagnosis in an Instagram post and revealed that he and his family are isolating at home, as prescribed by doctors.

Taking to his Instagram, Rajamouli issued a statement which reads, "My family members and I developed a slight fever few days ago. It subsided by itself but we got tested nevertheless. The result has shown a mild COVID-19 positive today. We have home quarantined as prescribed by the doctors. All of us are feeling better with no symptoms but are following all precautions and instructions...Just waiting to develop antibodies so that we can donate our plasma.”


As soon as Rajamouli shared an update on his health, his fans and well-wishers started wishing him and his family a speedy recovery in the comments section.


SS Rajamouli is best known for directing the ‘Baahubali’ series, which emerged as one of the biggest blockbusters at the Indian box office. The films starred Prabhas, Rana Daggubati in lead roles and Anushka Shetty, Tamannaah Bhatia, Ramya Krishnan, Sathyaraj, Nassar and Subbaraju in pivotal roles.


He is also known for delivering hit Telugu films such as ‘Magadheera, Sye’, ‘Vikramarkudu’ ‘Eega’ and ‘Chhatrapati’.


On the work front, SS Rajamouli is waiting to resume the shoot of his big-budget film ‘RRR’. He was supposed to conduct trial shoot of ‘RRR’, but had to cancel it due to the surge in the number of coronavirus positive cases in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.


‘RRR’ is a period drama that brings together two big Tollywood superstars Jr NTR and Ram Charan for the first time. It will also feature Alia Bhatt and Ajay Devgn and international actors such as Ray Stevenson, Olivia Morris and Alison Doody.


The film, which is made on a huge budget of Rs 450 crore, is slated to release on January 8, 2021.
