The film is a political thriller with Vijay Sethupathi playing the lead role. Actor-director R Parthiban, who shared screen space with Sethupathi in the hit film, Naanum Rowdy Dhaan, will be seen playing a crucial role in this film.

The makers had wrapped up 50 per cent of the shoot. The team will resume the work on Tughlaq Durbar once the Tamil Nadu government permits film shooting. So far, the government has allowed only post-production work of multiple films.

The film also features Manjima Mohan, Karunakaran and Bagavathi Perumal in pivotal roles. It is produced by Lalit Kumar under his home banner, Seven Screen Studio.
