Bengal election: Fourth phase voting continues for the assembly elections in West Bengal. Violent incidents have become common in Bengal elections. Today, for the first time, a young man who came to cast his vote was shot dead outside a polling station in Cooch Behar district. Police has given this information.

The Trinamool Congress alleged that the BJP was behind the murder, while the 'saffron party' claimed that the victim was a polling agent at the polling booth and blamed the ruling party in the state for this.

A police officer said that a youth named Anand Burman was dragged and shot outside booth number 85 in Pathanatuli area of Sitalkuchi. Voting was going on at the time of the incident.

He said that after the incident, there was a clash between Trinamool and BJP supporters and many people were injured as bombs were thrown outside the polling booth. The central forces had to lathi-charge to control the situation. "We received information that a person was shot and killed outside a polling station in Sitalkuchi in Cooch Behar district," an election official said. We have asked the supervisor to report as soon as possible and get information about the situation. ''

Police and Rapid Action Force (RAF) have been deployed in the area. BJP state chief and MP Dilip Ghosh was attacked a few days ago in Sitalkuchi area. Trinamool leader and candidate from Natabari constituency Rabindranath Ghosh alleged that BJP workers are behind this murder.

"BJP goons are behind the murder," he told news agency PTI. They have been creating unrest here for many days because they are losing elections and now they are killing people. ''

Dismissing Ghosh's claims, BJP candidate from Sitalkuchi, Barren Chandra Burman said that the deceased was the party's polling agent at the booth and Trinamool activists are behind the killing. "He was our polling agent and was going to the booth when he was shot and killed by Trinamool goons," Burman said. Rabindranath Ghosh's claim is completely false. We have informed the SP and the Election Commission about the incident and demanded that the culprits be arrested immediately. ''
