India-France Relations: India has further strengthened its friendship with France through one of its decisions. On the occasion of 75th Republic Day, India has honored 4 French citizens with Padma awards. India has given this award to the citizens of France at a time when this time French President Emmanuel Macron has been the chief guest on Republic Day. This decision is a proof of the deepening relationship between India and France. For the first time, India has selected French citizens for this award for their remarkable contributions. On the occasion of Republic Day, it has been announced that these four Frenchmen will be awarded Padma.

All four people who have been selected for the Padmashree award have done commendable work in different fields. Referring to these French citizens awarded the Padma Award, official sources said that this underlines the depth of India-France relations. The Padma awards were announced on Thursday, the day French President Emmanuel Macron visited India. He is the chief guest at the Republic Day celebrations this year.

These French citizens received Padma honors

This time, the people from France who have received this honor include 100-year-old yoga guru Charlotte Chopin and yoga expert and Ayurveda doctor Kiran Vyas (79). According to the government release, Pierre Sylvain Filliojat (87) and Fred Negritte have also been announced to be awarded Padma. Philosophers are Sanskrit scholars dedicated to enhancing the study of Indian culture. Fred Negrit is an Indologist who promotes awareness of Indian culture.
