G20 Meet / G20 meet in Srinagar today, three tier security, anti-drone system in the valley

G20 Meeting: Jammu and Kashmir is all set for the G20 Tourism Working Group meeting today. Special arrangements have been made for foreign guests. Multi-tier security arrangements have been made. G20 representatives will be in the valley from Monday to Wednesday. This is the first major international event in Jammu and Kashmir after the abrogation of Article 370. More than 180 delegates, including 60 delegates from G20 countries, will participate in the programs organized here.

The meeting of the G20 Tourism Working Group is being organized at the Sherry Kashmir International Convention Center (SKICC) located on the banks of Dal Lake in Srinagar. Jammu and Kashmir's ADG Vijay Kumar told that security arrangements have been made in the three-tier. Here on Friday, the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) jawans also did a mock drill.

Anti-drone technology has also been deployed here. NSG and army personnel will be deployed for its assistance. The ADG told that the Marcos team will also be deployed. Apart from these, police, BSF, CRPF and SSB personnel will also be deployed.

Three days event of foreign guests

On the first day (Monday) there will be a meeting of the Tourism Working Group along with the inaugural session. After this, in the second session, the manifesto of G20 tourism ministers will be presented.. and then feedback will be taken from the representatives. Apart from this, there are many other program schedules. As a side event on the second day of the meeting, there will be a discussion between the representatives on the condition of the Indian tourism industry.

Foreign guests will be shown India through film tourism. There are many other events scheduled for the second day as well. On the other hand, on May 24, on the last day, we will take stock of local level tourism. Meanwhile, there is a gala dinner on 22 May i.e. tonight and arrangements will be made for Farewell dinner on the last day.

China-Turkey abstain from tourism working group meeting

Many countries including China have shied away from this meeting to be held in Jammu and Kashmir. Describing Jammu and Kashmir as a disputed area, China announced to stay away from the meeting. Turkey is also among those countries which are opposing the meeting in the Union Territory. China is believed to be opposing the meeting on the request of Pakistan. Turkey has been making rhetoric on Jammu and Kashmir earlier also.
