As trade analysts had predicted, it seems to be happening almost the same. This weekend has become the second biggest weekend ever in Hindi in terms of housefull shows and collections. Gadar 2 has earned more than 130 crores in the first three days. Whereas OMG 2 has earned around 43 crores during this period. If the earnings of both are added, then this figure comes to 173 crores. While Pathan had earned 167 crores in the first three days.

Trade analysts believe that Pathan was a single film at the box office, it did not clash with anyone. Had Gadar 2 also been released as a single, it is possible that it would have equaled Pathan's record alone. While Gadar 2 and OMG 2 also had to compete with Rajinikanth's jailer.

Pathan got national holiday in the weekend

It is worth noting that Pathan got a national holiday on January 26, just a day after his release. Such a coincidence is icing on the cake for any film. Pathan had earned the maximum of 70 crores on the holiday of 26 January. While Gadar 2 and OMG 2 did not get any national holiday in the weekend of release. This is a normal weekend. According to the experts, if both these films had got a holiday in the weekend, then according to the crowd, its figure would have been different.

The crowd may rise on August 15

In UP, Bihar, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Delhi and Haryana, craze is being seen in the audience to watch these two films. Monday will definitely be an exam day for both the films, but on Tuesday, both the films are also getting a chance to celebrate the national holiday of 15th August. Therefore, the cinema hall is expected to be housefull again on both these days.

Small town theaters also buzzing

The most important thing about Gadar 2 and OMG 2 is that their shows have been extended continuously. Both the films have benefited from word of mouth. OMG 2 has done wonders in increasing its viewership. The praise of the film's content and its presentation started pulling the rest of the people to the cinema hall. On the other hand, Gadar 2 created a buzz in increasing the spirit and enthusiasm of patriotism. People went into nostalgia twenty years ago from today.

According to one figure, the contribution of multiplexes in Gadar 2's collection is only 37 percent while the contribution of single screen theaters in small towns is 63 percent. That is, Gadar 2's appeal is more in small cities than in metros.

Cinema era returned
