UP Budget 2023 / Gift to half the population in the budget, pension to destitute women, 600 crores for marriage scheme

UP Budget 2023 : Uttar Pradesh's Finance Minister Suresh Khanna presented the Yogi government's budget in the assembly. He has started in a poetic way. He said, "Yogi ji's budget has been made for the prosperity of UP. It will make the coming Holi amazingly colourful." The Yogi government has given a gift to women and girls.


Under the "Chief Minister Kanya Sumangala Yojana" operated to develop positive thinking of common people towards girls, each beneficiary is being benefited with an amount of up to Rs.15,000. A provision of Rs 1050 crore is proposed for the financial year 2023-2024.

A provision of Rs 600 crore is proposed for the Chief Minister's Collective Marriage Scheme for the marriage of daughters of all classes. A provision of Rs 150 crore is proposed for the marriage grant scheme for the daughters of poor people belonging to other backward classes.

To make rural women self-reliant, women's self-help groups are formed under the Women's Empowerment Scheme. A provision of Rs 83 crore is proposed in the budget for the financial year 2023-2024 for the scheme.

At present, pension is being given to 32 lakh 62 thousand destitute women under the maintenance grant scheme for destitute widows. For this, a budget provision of Rs 4032 crore is proposed in the budget of the year 2023 2024.

Pregnant women and lactating mothers are being benefited under the Prime Minister's Safe Motherhood Campaign. Janani Suraksha Yojana, Janani Shishu Suraksha Karyakram, Child Health Program etc. are run in the state.

Under regular vaccination in the state, 95 percent children were vaccinated by October, 2022. More than 36 lakh 82 thousand children and more than 10 lakh 31 thousand pregnant mothers were vaccinated under Mission Indra Dhanush.

Keeping in view the law and order in the state, 03 women PAC battalions are being formed to ensure maximum participation of women.


Uttar Pradesh Finance Minister Suresh Kumar Khanna said that U.P. The Global Investors Summit-2023 was attended by over 25,000 investors. I am happy to inform that more than 19000 MoUs worth about Rs 33.50 lakh crore were signed in this summit.
