Israel-Hamas News: Amidst efforts to stop the war that has been going on between Israel and Hamas for almost 7 months, a positive news has now come out. According to the information, Hamas has accepted the ceasefire proposal presented by Egypt and Qatar to stop the war. Let us tell you that Israel had ordered about one lakh Palestinians to leave Rafah city yesterday. It was believed that Israel could attack Rafah at any time. However, hours later, Hamas accepted the cease-fire proposal.

What did Israel say?

Despite Hamas agreeing to the Egyptian-Qatari ceasefire proposal, Israel has not shown much interest in it. Israel has said that this ceasefire proposal does not meet its main demands. On the other hand, Israeli tanks are moving towards Rafah. However, Israel has said it will continue ceasefire talks.

What's in the proposal?

Hamas chief Ismail Haniya has called the Prime Minister of Qatar and the Minister of Intelligence of Egypt and informed about agreeing to the ceasefire proposal. Egyptian and Hamas officials had said that the ceasefire would take place in several phases, during which Hamas would release hostages in exchange for the withdrawal of Israeli forces from Gaza.

Why does Israel want to attack Rafah?

Israel alleges that Rafah is the last stronghold of Hamas and thousands of Hamas terrorists are hiding here. However, about 14 lakh Palestinians have also taken shelter here. Israel's neighboring countries, including the US, have repeatedly said that Israel should not attack Rafah. US President Joe Biden has said that accepting a ceasefire agreement with Hamas is the best way to save the lives of the hostages.
