Mumbai: The Crime Branch Cell of the Mumbai Police found a ‘hidden’ cupboard while conducting searches at Raj Kundra’s offices on Saturday (July 23). The team of police officers recovered files and documents from the boxes during the raid at the offices of Viaan Industries and JL Stream. The cops found several files related to cryptocurrency during the searches.

The Crime Branch Cell had earlier conducted searches at the two companies on July 19 before arresting Raj Kundra for his alleged involvement in production and circulation of pornographic material on mobile app.

The Mumbai Police made a new revelation in the alleged adult films racket case and said that it found a hidden cupboard at Raj Kundra’s office in Andheri during the searches in connection with the high-profile case.

The Mumbai Crime Branch arrested Raj Kundra under several sections of the IPC and IT Act for allegedly producing adult films. A Magistrate Court in Mumbai extended Kundra's police custody till July 27. The 45-year-old businessman has filed a petition in the Bombay High Court, challenging his arrest in the case.

A team of Mumbai Police officers arrived at Shilpa Shetty-Raj Kundra's house on Friday to question the actress as part of their probe into the case. Shetty denied her involvement with HotShots and pointed fingers at Pradeep Bakshi, Kundra's brother-in-law, a report in IANS said.

The officials recorded Shilpa's statement in the case after quizzing her for over three hours. According to police sources, she claimed that she was not aware of the content of HotShots and said that 'Erotica was different from porn', for which Kundra has been arrested.
