Home Minister Amit Shah: Union Home Minister and veteran Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Amit Shah held a meeting with party MPs and MLAs in Mumbai on Monday. This meeting was held regarding the upcoming BMC elections, in which the target of winning 150 seats has been fixed. Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis was also present in this meeting. In the meeting, Amit Shah fiercely targeted former Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray.

According to sources, in the meeting, Amit Shah once again said that he had not promised the post of Chief Minister to Uddhav Thackeray. Amit Shah said that BJP's victory in BMC elections is sure. The Union Home Minister said that under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the BJP and the original Shiv Sena alliance should aim to win 150 seats in the BMC elections.

He said that under the leadership of PM Modi, BJP is sure to win in the BMC elections. People are with BJP led by PM Modi. Addressing the BJP leaders, Amit Shah said that Uddhav Thackeray had not only betrayed the BJP but betrayed the ideology and also insulted the mandate of the people of Maharashtra.

Amit Shah said that Uddhav Thackeray is greedy for power. Those who cheat in politics should be punished. This veteran BJP leader said that today I want to say again that we had never promised Uddhav Thackeray the chief minister's post. We are not in a closed room, we are people doing politics with chest thumping.

Amit Shah reached Mumbai on Sunday night

Union Home Minister Amit Shah arrived in Mumbai on Sunday night on his two-day visit. He will also visit the residences of Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, a BJP leader said. BJP's key strategist Shah's visit during the Ganesh festival in Mumbai comes at a time when the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) elections are to be held this month or in October.
