The ED relied on the CISF and CRPF to assist in the investigation and took them along. While ED officials reached the respective places in school buses, cars and other vehicles, the Pulse Hospital was surrounded by CRPF officials. Apart from this, the officials also reached the residence of Pooja Singhal. This action was done in many places at the same time.
Two cases are under investigationThe ED is also probing Singhal's involvement in irregularities in the National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme Act (MNREGA) in Khunti and Chhatra districts. Pooja Singhal is a 2000 batch IAS officer. She was earlier posted as Deputy Commissioner in Khunti district. Along with this, the ED is also investigating on the basis of complaint against Singhal, alleging that she is voluntarily awarding contracts for sand mining to contractors of her choice. Jharkhand High Court advocate Rajiv Kumar had filed this complaint with the ED in February 2022.
