Hyundai Creta Engine: For Hyundai, its Creta compact SUV (Hyundai Creta) has been a very successful product. It is the best selling car of the company and also the best selling compact SUV in its segment. Recently Hyundai has updated its Creta. However, in doing so, the company has discontinued its most powerful engine. Till now this SUV used to come in three engine options 1.5 liter petrol, 1.5 liter diesel and 1.4 liter turbo petrol. Now the company has removed the turbo petrol option.

The company has quietly discontinued the 1.4-litre turbo-petrol variant of the Creta. This variant has been removed from the official website of Hyundai. No reason was given by the company for discontinuing the engine option. The Hyundai Creta's 1.4-litre turbocharged petrol engine produced 138 bhp peak power and 242 Nm peak torque. It was the most powerful of all the three engines. With this, options of 6-speed manual and 7-speed DCT gearbox were given.

While the diesel engine produces 114 Bhp of peak power at 4,000 rpm and 250 Nm of peak torque between 1,500-2,750 rpm.

Hyundai claims that both the petrol and diesel engines of the SUV are RDE-compliant and ready for E20 fuel as well. Also, the new Hyundai Creta comes with an Integrated Starter Generator (ISG). Hyundai Creta has been one of the very popular SUVs since its launch in India.
