Hyundai Ioniq 5: South Korean automaker Hyundai Motor is going to bring its second electric car Hyundai Ioniq 5 in India. The company will unveil the car on October 20 and bookings for the car will also start from the same day. It is already available for sale in the global market. Its launch can be done next month. The special thing is that this car will be able to travel up to 480KM in full charge. That is, if customers like this EV, then it can be difficult for Nexon EV.

Interior can be customized

Hyundai Ioniq 5 is the company's first electric car, which is based on the new e-GMP (Electric Global Modular Platform). The same platform has also been given in the Kia EV6. Hyundai has already revealed that the Ioniq 5 will get customizable interiors. In this, the seat and arm rest can be adjusted like a sofa present in the house. Its front seats will also get recline function along with relaxation functionality. There is also going to be a lot of space in the cabin.

It will get features like 12.3-inch HD touchscreen display, 12.3-inch driver's display, wireless phone charging, head-up display, and sunroof. It will be one of the safest cars in India. Its 2021 model achieved a 5 star safety rating in the Euro NCAP crash test. Level 2 ADAS feature will also be given in it.

Range and Expected Price

In the global market, the Hyundai Ioniq 5 comes with two battery packs. The smaller battery pack will be of 58 kWh, which offers a range of around 385 km on a single charge. The other is a 72.6 kWh battery pack that offers a range of up to 480 km on a single charge. The battery can be charged up to 80 percent in 18 minutes through a 350 kW DC fast charger. It is believed that its price in India can be more than 50 lakh rupees.
