Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli are undoubtedly the most loved couples in the country. The two never shy away from displaying their affection for each other and tbh, all of us eagerly wait for their Instagram posts as they are major #goals. Virushka as the two are fondly called tied the knot in an intimate Tuscan wedding away from prying eyes. The wedding in all its right looked magical and was overflowing with pure love. Anushka undoubtedly kickstarted a new trend by ditching the traditional red and opting for a pastel pink saree for her big day.

In a one on one interview with Vogue India, Anushka revealed how she wanted the whole colour scheme of the wedding to be in light and pastel hues. She said that when she met Sabyasachi, she told him very clearly that for her wedding look she wanted to go for pastel pink. Sharma explained that since it was a day wedding she did not want to opt for the traditional red colour. In her own words she added, “I envisioned pastel colours, flowers. The vibe was such—not too much.” Needless to say when the photos and videos came out everything just looked like a dream.

After an exquisite wedding in Italy, the actress along with her cricketer husband threw two lavish receptions back home, one in Delhi and one in Mumbai. Talking about her Delhi reception, Anushka said that she told Sabyasachi that she wanted to do a traditional red Benarasi saree. Not only that she wanted to do it along with the sindoor and the traditional jewellery. The 31 year old further revealed how the designer himself was extremely excited about the same. She quoted him saying, “You know, nowadays a lot of girls wear gowns at their reception and I thought you’d ask me for something like that’. Anushka further added that she was adamant and said, ‘No, I want to wear an Indian sari at my reception.’

Anushka Sharma has often defied the various norms and she sticks to doing her own thing. The Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi states that she is a Taurean and they don’t believe in just following the crowd. She also revealed how she picks t-shirts and jackets from her husband and Indian Cricket Team Captain, Virat Kohli’s wardrobe. She added that sometimes she just picks his stuff and wears it as it makes him very happy. Adorable isn’t it?

Be it fasting for each other on Karva Chauth, standing by each other through thick and thin or just being each other’s shield, the two have really defined #couplegoals. The couple met on the sets of an ad commercial and hit it off instantly. After dating for over four years, they decided to take the plunge and got hitched on December 11th, 2017. The lovely duo will soon be celebrating their 2nd wedding anniversary. Right now, the much in love couple are vacationing in Bhutan to celebrate Virat’s 31st birthday. Kohli had earlier confessed how the two are exactly the same person and love travelling. He also said that Anushka’s simplicity and honesty is what attracts him the most.

The two have definitely left us in awe of them and we think it is extremely difficult and hard to find a relationship which is so pure and honest.
