This all-rounder was banned for 2 years

The International Cricket Council has banned Bangladesh team all-rounder Nasir Hussain for 2 years. He has also been suspended for 6 months. Let us tell you that Nasir was given a gift by an unknown person. A special demand was also made to him for this. Hussain neither informed the board nor the anti-corruption officer about this. Due to which action has been taken against him. In such a situation, he will now be banned till April 7, 2025.

Sentenced on these 3 charges

Violation of Article 2.4.3 – Nasir was given a gift worth more than US$750 in the form of iPhone 12. But he did not inform this to the anti-corruption officer and later failed to inform about it.

Violation of Article 2.4.4 – Nasir Hussain did not inform the Anti Corruption Officer about being contacted by any unknown person.

Violation of Article 2.4.6 – Nasir did not cooperate with the Anti Corruption Officer in the investigation of the case. Besides, he also failed or refused to give them important information related to this.

Nasir Hussain's international career

Nasir Hussain, 32, played 115 matches for Bangladesh across all formats between 2011 and 2018, scoring 2695 runs and taking 39 wickets. Nasir Hussain played 19 Tests, 65 ODIs and 31 T20 matches for Bangladesh. At the same time, he plays domestically for Prime Bank Cricket Club in the Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League.
