Amidst the political turmoil in Pakistan, Nawaz Sharif's party Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) has announced the name of its candidate for the post of Prime Minister. The opposition party PML-N has named Nawaz Sharif's younger brother Shahbaz Sharif as its candidate for the post of Prime Minister. Since this announcement, speculation about the departure of current Prime Minister Imran Khan has intensified even more. Nawaz Sharif's daughter and PML-N vice-president Maryam Nawaz said that the party has decided to make Shahbaz Sharif its PM candidate. Maryam has expressed hope that the no-confidence motion being brought against Imran Khan will be successful.

Imran Khan, your game is over: Maryam

Maryam Nawaz said, Imran Khan! Your game is over. The ruling Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) is officially broken. Maryam said that PM Imran knows that now no one will come to his rescue as he has lost the game. Maryam Nawaz said that Imran Khan feels that there is an international conspiracy against him, but he has conspired against the citizens here. Had he fulfilled his duty, a million people would have no reason to protest.

No-confidence motion against Imran on March 25

The Imran Khan government is going through its worst phase as leaders of opposition parties have called a meeting of the National Assembly on March 25 to discuss the no-confidence motion against Imran Khan. Opposition leaders blame him for mismanagement of the economy and foreign policy. Hence, the no-confidence motion is considered to be the toughest test for Imran Khan since coming to power in 2018, as many MPs of his party have also decided to vote against him. The law of Pakistan says that if an MP votes against the government of his own party, then his power can be lost.
