Former Congress President Rahul Gandhi was questioned for over 11 hours by Enforcement Directorate (ED) officials for the second consecutive day in a case of alleged money laundering related to the National Herald newspaper. Rahul Gandhi appeared before the ED at around 11:30 am on Tuesday. They came out after about four hours of interrogation in the first round. For the second round of questioning, Rahul once again reached the ED office at around 4.30 pm. He came out of the ED office late at 11:43 pm. The ED has again called him for questioning on Wednesday.
Once again Congress leaders lodged their protest calling Rahul's interrogation a political conspiracy. Congress General Secretary and sister Priyanka Gandhi went to drop Rahul Gandhi till the ED office just like Monday. While all the senior Congress leaders were taken into custody while protesting. On Monday, Rahul Gandhi answered ED's questions for about 10 hours. According to sources, Rahul Gandhi answered many questions of the ED. He was kept at Badarpur police station.When Chhattisgarh Chief Ministers Bhupesh Baghel and Mukul Wasnik were on their way to meet the detained leaders, the police stopped them on their way. Angry at this, Baghel said that how can a Chief Minister be stopped. He tweeted and said, "Me and Mukul Wasnik have been stopped in front of Apollo Hospital in Delhi. We are going to meet our Congress workers lodged at Badarpur police station. This government is cowardly. Our workers are 'Babbar Sher', fighting for the truth. This battle will be fought. Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot said that the workers are being stopped.
