Cyclone Tauktae | The impact of cyclone 'Toute' in the Arabian Sea will be seen in many districts of Uttar Pradesh on Wednesday. Due to low wind pressure and western disturbance, there are chances of rain with thunderstorms here. At the same time, there is a warning of heavy rains with hailstorm falling in various UP western districts including Meerut, Muzaffarnagar, Bijnor and Saharanpur.

Earlier on Tuesday also, many districts of the state received rains and winds also ran at a speed of five to eight kilometers per hour. This relieved people of the sticky heat and the mercury slid to 7-9 degrees below normal. Director JP Gupta said that there will be no impact of the storm like Maharashtra and Gujarat. But due to western disturbances and toutes, the air pressure will be very low. This is expected to cause strong winds. It will also rain at some places.

The Meteorological Department has also issued an alert for heavy rains in most parts of West UP. During this period, thunderstorms will move with a speed of 40-50 km per hour and in some places hail can also occur. In all these areas, the Meteorological Department has issued an Orange Alert. According to Skymet Weather, there is a western disturbance at this time on the mountains. Which is gradually affecting the plains along the hilly areas. Meanwhile, Hurricane Toute is moving towards northeast by changing direction.

Before landfall, the toute was moving in a northwest direction, with thick clouds enveloping the plains of northern India located in the outer enclave of the toute. Due to this, the area of cyclonic winds is moving forward which will reach close to Delhi-NCR and Haryana today. All these systems are receiving moisture from the Arabian Sea. Due to this effect, Toute will give heavy to very heavy rains along with most parts of West UP including Delhi-NCR today.
