Parliament Winter Session: The opposition is adopting an attacking stance on the government over the issue of suspension of MPs and lapses in security of Parliament. Opposition Alliance India MPs will march on foot from Parliament House to Vijay Chowk today. This march will be done against the suspension of 143 MPs. This march of MPs will start at 10.30 am and will end by 11 am.

Suspension of 143 MPs in 3 days

143 MPs have been suspended from both the houses of Parliament in the last 3 days. This action has been taken against the opposition MPs who were creating ruckus over the breach in the security of Parliament. A total of 97 MPs have been suspended from the Lok Sabha. 13 MPs were suspended on 14 December, 33 on 18 December and maximum 49 MPs were suspended on 19 December. Yesterday on Wednesday also two MPs were suspended. The suspended MPs include members of all parties.

Protest against the incident of mimicry of Vice President

Politics has also heated up over the issue of TMC MP Kalyan Banerjee mimicking Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar outside Parliament. Yesterday, BJP MPs in Rajya Sabha stood for an hour in protest against this and took part in the proceedings of the House. Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke to Jagdeep Dhankhar on phone and expressed grief over the mimicry. President Draupadi Murmu also called this incident disappointing. He said on social media that norms of etiquette should be followed during expression.
